John Ogilby, The Road from Carmarthen to Aberystwyth, 1675

With handcolor, the road starts in the upper left, wending to its termination in the lower right while depicting compass points and mountains along the way. The title cartouche is somewhat of a surprise as it incorporates Botticelli's famous painting showing the Birth of Venus.

Light age toning with good color throughout. Very good condition.
