David Hagerbaumer was born in Quincy, Illinois, and developed an early passion for the outdoors. Largely self-taught, Hagerbaumer captured birds in their native habitats with remarkable precision. His work often portrays quiet, contemplative moments in nature—migrating geese in flight, ducks resting in marshes, or upland birds nestled in autumn grasslands.
Hagerbaumer's artistic achievements were deeply informed by his experiences as a hunter, naturalist, and outdoorsman. He believed in portraying wildlife as part of a living environment. This authenticity earned him a devoted following among collectors, conservationists, and fellow artists.
Good estate condition, not examined outside the frame.
