Second half 19th century, tiger oak case, mahogany secondary, rectangular form decorated with ornate brass mounts and three turned handles, over a flush molded base, the lower drawer with divided interior and central well stamped "RD25578" to the drawer edge, pulling the drawer activates the slide top lid revealing upper storage and center divider, upper central shield escutcheon mount engraved with Clan Fleming stag armorial and motto "LET THE DEED SHAW" ("actions speak louder than words").
