Ireland, late 19th century, antique mahogany with carved fluted floral supports surrounding depiction of Cork harbor entrance with "STATIO BENE FIDA CARINIS" the motto of Cork City beneath, all centered within foliate and scroll openwork, both with certificate reading ""Cork Arms" Brackets/Carved in Antique Mahogany/for the Right Worshipful/Sir John H. Scott/Mayor of Cork 1896/Designed and Carved by John Fitzgerald Artist/(Bard of the Lee)" to verso.

15 1/4 x 12 3/4 x 10 in.

One bracket has break and repair to left support, the right support as well as harbor carvings are loosely fitted to base, and has minor scuffs to verso.
