Horace Raper was a self-taught artist and musician based in Wilson, North Carolina, known for his paintings from memory depicting rural life in Eastern North Carolina. His works often featured nostalgic portrayals of the region's landscapes and farming culture. Raper was an active member of the Wilson Active Artists group.
Good estate condition, light scuffing to the frame.
