First issued in 1864, gold and enamel construction throughout, 64x46 mm, includes suspension bar and ribbon; with its original leather-over-card case; the lid with a crowned gilt monogram; the interior of plush violet, the silk-lined lid names H. Rose of Schwerin as Jeweler.

A rare and desirable order.
The medal has some enamel loss on the back of one arm that reveals underlying gold, otherwise it is as issued; the case has leather losses to the exterior and light rubbing to the maker's information on the underside of the lid; the ribbon is loose with folds and is detached from the suspension bar.
