19th century, dovetailed box with hinged lid, open interior, now on a later antique American late Chippendale Southern stand, attributed to Eastern North Carolina, yellow pine and poplar secondary, molded waist, single drawer, straight legs with molded edge and applied distinctive fretwork returns.
