Switzerland and vicinity, first quarter 20th century, carved wood, to include a swan with adjustable articulated neck, painted beak, and wings shaped to form candlestick holder/inkwell, impressed "DEPOSE+" to underside (6 x 5 3/4 x 2 3/4 in.); an ink well in the form of a dog's head with glass eyes, hinged lid to open at neck, illegible inscription and numbered "15" to underside (3 1/2 x 3 1/2 x 3 3/4 in.); and an ebonized humidor in the shape of a seated owl retaining one glass eye, hinged lid opens at the neck, unmarked (12 1/2 x 6 x 6 1/2 in).
From the New Hampshire Collection of Tatyana Archambault Swan with small chips and associated paint loss to beak, minor light scuffs to feathers, losses to tip of each wing, and break and repair to base of neck; small minute scuffs to base of dog inkwell; owl is missing left eye, adhesive residue surrounding both eyes indicating possible reattached right eye, loss to yellow paint behind existing eye, cracking to wood down center of head and body on front and posterior, minor scuffs to body and underside, possible later hinge.
