Alfred Fontville de Breanski, Jr. was a British landscape painter best known for his atmospheric depictions of the United Kingdom's countryside, including the Scottish Highlands, Welsh valleys, and English gardens. The oldest son of Alfred de Breanski, Sr., he received artistic training from his father at an early age, and later studied at St. Martin’s School of Art.

Though Influenced by his father’s naturalistic style, de Breanski, Jr. later developed a more impressionistic approach after traveling to France in the 1890s and encountering artists like Whistler. He exhibited at major institutions such as the Royal Academy and the Royal Society of British Artists. His works are held in numerous private and museum collections.

A dent to the upper left corner, some associated retouching to the area, and light areas of retouching visible under UV light inspection, very minor flake at lower right, yellowing to the varnish.
