Christopher Sanders was a British painter who studied at the Wakefield and Leeds Schools of Art before graduating from the Royal College of Art. Initially working as a commercial artist—designing for Bird’s Custard and the London Underground—he later focused on fine art and teaching, eventually becoming Head of Painting at Harrow School of Art. A regular exhibitor at the Royal Academy, he was elected a full member in 1961 and won a gold medal at the Paris Salon in 1956.
