A Massive Megalodon Tooth on an Impressive Custom Base

A 5 1/2-in. tooth with light gray enamel flecked with orange over a contrasting black root; presented on a large custom marine base. Found off the coast of North Carolina.

5 1/2 x 4 5/16 in.; approximately 8 x 10 1/2 x 6 1/2 in. on stand

A nearly symmetrical form; retaining some gloss, especially to the back; with wear and losses, notably to the front, that are typical of these very large teeth; small chips to tip and edges.
