New England Chippendale Red Wash Maple Slant Front Desk

Attributed to Maine, circa 1800, white pine secondary, dovetailed case hinged lipped lid, breadboard ends, with loper support, divided interior seven valanced pigeonholes, nice small drawers, stepped interior, the case with four graduated lipped drawers, exposed horizontal drawer stile at each end, shaped bracket foot base.

43.75 x 36 x 18.75 in.; case width 34.5 in.

Hinged lid with full width shrinkage cracks; full width cut patch and repair at base of lid; later pulls with associated plugged holes and red wash; breadboard ends appear later to lid.
