Attributed to southwest Virginia or Tennessee, first half 19th century, walnut and white pine secondary, two-part form, the upper desk with half blind upper dovetailed case, hinged lid with loper support, the lid with lightwood inlay featuring urn, hearts, bird and sunflower, and initials "T K", divided interior featuring eight pigeon holes above six small drawers, above a well with sliding cupboard, faux drawer in between lopers, the stand with applied molding, top molded edge, above a long drawer, above two small side-by-side drawers with central deeply scalloped skirt, molded straight tapered legs with inside chamfer.

The lid with full width shrinkage crack and separation; interior drawers rebuilt; lopers later; the base drawers appear rebuilt; later brace block to interior corner edges; other repairs.
