Southern Antebellum Carved Walnut Tall Post Bed

Attributed to backcountry South Carolina, second quarter 19th century, the double paneled headboard with arched crest and applied wreath molding, later paneled foot board repeats motif, the four tall turned posts featuring swirled reeding, acanthus leaf and plume, bold turned legs, with two wood rails and tester.

Headboard 97 x 66 in. length overall 91 in. and likely fits a queen size mattress
