Circa 1800, mahogany veneers, serpentine case with barber pole edge inlay, hinged lid, interior lids with central seven pointed star inlay, over flush base both unsigned; one box with inlaid elliptical key escutcheon retaining the divided interior (14 3/4 x 8 1/2 x 11 1/2 in.); the other box with additional star inlay to upper lid with silver-plated escutcheon mounts, now vacant interior (14 1/2 x 9 x 10 3/4 in.).

Small areas of veneer repair; some veneer cracks and scratches; some areas of small losses to the base molding; tallest's lid does not sit flush; the shorter's hinges remounted.
