James Albert "Big" Bradford was a prolific painter and beloved professor based in Richmond, Virginia. He started teaching at Virginia Commonwealth Wealth University in 1969, returning for good in 1975 after a brief period in New York City. He was a founding member of 1708 Gallery and a founding partner in the Texas-Wisconsin Border Cafe. Considered by many VCU faculty members to be among the best classically trained painters in the area, Bradford's passion for the arts was passed along to his students and the community at large.
Minimal white paint splatters over composition.
