Late 20th century, a reproduction of S. Augustus Mitchell's A New Map of Texas Oregon and California with the Regions Adjoining. Compiled from the Most Recent Authorities (Philadelphia: S. Augustus Mitchell, 1846); presented attached with decorative corner pins and in a wooden frame.

Frame size 35 x 33 in.; sheet size 22 5/8 x 20 3/4 in.

Mitchell's map was incredibly important, offering a map of the West soon after Texas became the 28th state and during the resulting Mexican-American War (1846-1848).

Consisting of several sections glued together with some resulting overlapping and poor alignment; two subtle horizontal fold lines; light wear to frame including a few small chips.
