Andrew Turner was an African American painter from Chester, Pennsylvania, known for his vibrant, expressive depictions of Black urban life, jazz music, and community. A graduate of Temple University's Tyler School of Art and a U.S. Army veteran, Turner’s work celebrated themes such as family, spirituality, and resilience. He exhibited widely, and his art is held in prominent collections including those of Maya Angelou, the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and Penn State University.
Good estate condition, not examined outside the frame.
