A Private North Carolina Collection William O. Douglas (1898-1980) was a liberal Justice of the United States Supreme Court. He was nominated by President Franklin Roosevelt and served longer than any other justice for a record length of more than three and a half decades.
Boards with rubbing to corners and spine ends; interior with mild toning, a rare minor spot of foxing or grime, some light staining at endpapers, and mark from signature left on title page; jacket unclipped ($4.00) with creasing, light scuffing, foxing, mild soiling, and edge wear including a few tears (largest 1 in.), now in a protective mylar jacket. Very good in a good plus jacket.
