Private Collection, Charleston, South Carolina Pierre-Marie Brisson is a contemporary French artist known for his textured paintings of simplified abstract forms which he creates using collage, scraping, and layering. Brisson studied etching in Paris and was mentored by artists like Bram Van Velde and James Coignard.
He has exhibited widely with works held in major collections including the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco and the Bibliothèque Nationale in Paris. He maintains studios in Paris and the Camargue region.
