Piedmont region, circa 1810, two part form, six board box with finger joints, hinged lid with applied lower lip, open interior, set onto a conforming base with applied waist trim, single flush drawer with distinctive drawer guides which are square at the front of the case and transition to circular and protrude through the rear panel, straight tapered legs from the stile.

Hinges are old but likely later; later pulls; some minor insect damage to rear board.
