Late 19th century, patinated bronze krater vases with rising volute double handles, flanking a waisted neck with central profile medallions, over an ovoid body decorated with bas-relief mythological scenes surrounded by palmettes and anthemions, above a squat pedestal foot and mounted atop an orchre marble base with four cast feet.
20 3/4 x 11 1/2 x 9 1/2 in.
The handles design is similar to the 4th century BC Greek example in the Metropolitan Museum's collection, Object Number: 96.18.10, .11
