Italian Carved Giltwood Trumeau Mirror

Mid-20th century, carved giltwood and gesso, in the French Rococo taste, antique white painted wood panel with chamfered stiles, bas-relief C-scroll and acanthus rocaille ornamentation, upper reserve featuring ribbon tied instrument crest beneath a cove molded cornice, labeled and stamped "MADE IN ITALY" to verso with "Order N. 67005/Article N. 212".

Good overall estate condition; scattered small areas of gilt rubbing and loss, later gilt touchups, and minor cracking to bas-relief elements; some nicks to posterior frame edge.
