19th century, salt glazed stoneware with Albany slip interior, the first a crock stamped "WIGGIN & KEASAR" with dual lug handles, tooled shoulder, and cobalt spring slip trailed design, approximately one gallon capacity (7 1/2 in.); the second a merchant jar, inscribed for "J. H. Scheper,/ Newark,/ N. J." to the obverse, cylindrical form with rounded shoulder, not stamped, approximately one gallon capacity (9 in.).
