Rogelio Polesello was an influential Argentine artist known for his Op Art style. Born in Buenos Aires, he studied at the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes Manuel Belgrano and the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes Prilidiano Pueyrredón, where he was deeply influenced by Gestalt theory, geometric abstraction, and the work of Paul Klee. His early black-and-white compositions played with optical illusions.

Polesello experimented with industrial materials and techniques to explore perception and visual effects, creating paintings, murals, and sculptures. His notable works include the mural Eclipse at Buenos Aires’ Ezeiza International Airport. Widely exhibited and collected by institutions like MoMA and the Guggenheim, Polesello received numerous honors, including two Konex Awards and Argentina’s Gran Premio de Honor.

Some age cracking, minor losses at the edge of the work, and scattered fleabites, some surface stains, and slight buckling at the canvas corners.
