Contemporary, salt fired clay, (10) pieces to include a lidded coffee pot (7 5/8 in.); a four footed bud vase (6 7/8 in.); a pair of bud vases with pointed shoulders (4 3/4 in.); a footed bowl with incised fish decoration (4 in.); (2) mugs (tallest 4 7/8 in.); an espresso cup (2 5/8 in.); and (2) square footed dessert plates (7 in.); all stamped "SL" to body.

Being sold to benefit Penland School of Craft, Penland, North Carolina Penland’s scholarship program exists to make their workshops accessible to those who are not able to participate without financial assistance and to create educational opportunities for people who have been underrepresented at Penland and in the craft world. Proceeds from this auction will help fund existing scholarships, with some proceeds designated towards specific scholarships as noted in the listings.
Suze is a studio potter living and working in the Appalachian Mountains of North Carolina. In 1996, after completing three years as an artist in residence at Penland School of Craft, Suze and her husband, potter Kent McLaughlin, set up and began potting in their studio in Bakersville, NC under the name Fork Mountain Pottery.
