Charles Wehringer was an artist from Oyster Bay, Long Island, best known for his miniature still-life paintings of fruits, vegetables, and everyday items. Self-taught with some study at the Art Students League, he worked primarily on wood panels. His art was featured in upscale retailers like Bergdorf Goodman and Bloomingdale’s, and even in Cartier’s window displays.
He exhibited at New York venues such as the Salmagundi Club and in outdoor art exhibitions.

Good estate condition, the unframed panel with some minor abrasions at the corners.
