Circa 1790-1810, mahogany veneer, pine secondary, two part form, molded cornice with arched drop frieze, two hinged bookcase doors with astragal mullions, louvered shelf interior, the lower case with applied waist molded and molded edge, upper fall front faux double panel drawer with interior leather writing surface, central prospect door with three fitted drawers flanked by four small drawers and eight valanced pigeonholes, the case with three graduated cock beaded drawers, straight bracket foot base.

Cornice with chips and veneer lifting; top of lower chest with veneer patches and surface scratches; later leather writing surface; later pulls cover central hole; old marring to case sides.
