Lucien Bénière was a French artist and sculptor born in Givors. He trained in wood sculpting and molding, and served in the French Resistance during World War II. After the war, Bénière became active in cooperative housing and labor movements. Artistically, he started with drawing and painting, but from 1979 focused on sculpture. His art has been widely exhibited, including in the Jardin du Luxembourg in Paris.
One with minor craquelure, minor flaking to upper right corner, otherwise good estate condition.
