Orange and brown glazed stoneware, (8) pieces to include a pitcher with incised abstract line decoration (7 7/8 in.); a pot with brushed glaze decoration (5 3/8 in.); a footed bowl (6 1/2 in.); a small ribbed pinch bottle (5 1/2 in.); a small columnar bud vase (5 in.); a ribbed cup with stamped daisy decoration to body (4 in.); a small footed mug with brushed glaze decoration and stamped pattern to body (4 1/2 in.); and a small footed cup with stamped decoration to base (3 5/8 in.), all incised "Bringle" to underside.
Proceeds to benefit the Carey G. Bringle Jr. Scholarship.
Being sold to benefit Penland School of Craft, Penland, North Carolina Penland’s scholarship program exists to make their workshops accessible to those who are not able to participate without financial assistance and to create educational opportunities for people who have been underrepresented at Penland and in the craft world. Proceeds from this auction will help fund existing scholarships, with some proceeds designated towards specific scholarships as noted in the listings.
