Including (2) stoneware pieces by Terry Gess (Bakersville, NC): a pitcher (7 in.), and a bud vase (5 1/2 in.), both with black glaze highlights and stamped "GE/SS" to base; an abstract metallic gray glazed sculpture, signed "Sires 97, 29/50" to underside (11 5/8 in.); a columnar vase with faceted shoulder and ribbed body, inscribed "TD" to underside (10 in.); a faceted footed bowl with incised and stamped linework decoration, stamped with artist's mark to base (3 3/4 in.); and a lidded jar with applied handle and decoration to body, stamped with artist's mark to base (4 3/8 in.).
Proceeds to benefit the General Penland Scholarship.

Being sold to benefit Penland School of Craft, Penland, North Carolina

Penland’s scholarship program exists to make their workshops accessible to those who are not able to participate without financial assistance and to create educational opportunities for people who have been underrepresented at Penland and in the craft world. Proceeds from this auction will help fund existing scholarships, with some proceeds designated towards specific scholarships as noted in the listings.
