Gaspar Peeter Verbruggen the Younger was born in Antwerp into a family of artists trained in the Baroque tradition. His works often feature elaborate bouquets of roses, tulips, peonies, and other blooms, sometimes framing devotional or mythological scenes, blending naturalistic detail with theatrical flourish. Verbruggen became a member of Antwerp's Guild of Saint Luke in 1681 and his art was sought after collectors across Europe.
