Circa 1760-1770, white pine secondary, two part form, dovetailed case with applied molded cornice, four graduated molded lipped drawers with open horizontal drawer stile, the base with applied edge molding over two graduated lipped drawers both with faux form suggesting a two-over-three, deeply scalloped skirt, tall cabriole legs, raised pad foot.
73 x 39.5 x 20.25 in., upper case width 36 in.
Private Eastern North Carolina Collection Remnant of paper label to the inside top faux drawer; back side with two illegible labels; some black ink numbering to back; a good original example with areas of pronounced tiger maple.
Later pulls; some original pull holes exposed; some drawer runners rebuilt; some drawer molding minor loss especially at corners; shrinkage split to the upper left and right case sides; missing drop finials at skirt.
