Virginia Chippendale Walnut Drop Leaf Table

Attributed to the Tidewater region, circa 1760-1770, yellow pine secondary, the rectangular table with rectangular drop leaves with single gate-leg support, recessed skirt, distinctive straight square legs with outer molded corner edge and 90 degree deep inside chamfer edge with upper lamb's tongue termination, the frame with walnut fly rail, yellow pine interior frame and medial brace with rosehead nail construction.
