Virginia Chippendale Walnut Corner Cupboard

Attributed to the Tidewater Region, Princess Anne County, late 18th century, yellow pine secondary, one part form, applied and stepped cove molded cornice with dentil molding, two upper hinged cabinet doors with double raised panel, butterfly shelved interior, applied waist molding above two lower hinged cabinet doors with raised panel, applied bracket foot facing with spur, deep canted corners.

Back boards feature rose-head nail construction; later hinges with cut/patch and repair; lower right cabinet door with later 1/4 inch top trim; later corner foot brace blocks, but feet are straight from the stiles and applied facings are old and appear original.
