Attributed to coastal Massachusetts, circa 1780, chestnut and white pine secondary, two part form, dovetailed case; the bonnet top with an applied cove molded cornice, three urn and flame turned finials with fluted plinths, the bookcase with two hinged cabinet doors featuring shaped raised panels and molded frame, shelved interior, flanked by reeded quarter columns, the desk with hinged lipped lid having bread board ends, lopered supports, stepped interior with eight valanced pigeon holes and nine small drawers, four flush graduated drawers with case surround cock beading, molded base, original ogee bracket feet.

Bonnet central plinth with detached (but present) secondary wood support block; cut/patch/repair at lid to both hinge areas; later pulls; drawer runners and guides rebuilt; lower case sides with shrinkage splits; original feet, but all four with split and repair to lower facing.
