Both important French cartographers, Bonne succeeded Bellin as Royal Hydrographer at France's Dépôt des cartes et plans de la Marine.

Both with toning and light scattered foxing; Bonne's map with central horizontal fold line, as issued; Bellin's map with horizontal and vertical fold lines, some spotting, two small corner repairs, and a couple areas of browning to thin mat surround; light wear to frames including chipping; not examined outside the frames.
