Tubby was born in 1929 in Jackson County, Georgia. He graduated from the University of Georgia with a BA in History and went on to serve in the US Army during the Korean War. After returning to his hometown, Tubby and his brother co-owned Brown's Grocery Store for 35 years. Upon retiring, Tubby spent his time crafting. He began with bird houses and went on to create folk art assemblages including several variations of Noah's Ark, a devil's hot tub, and an angel's Christmas trees.

Wear to paper backing; otherwise good estate condition.
