Each stick is 16-1/2 in. and is presented with in a deep shadowbox frame. Included is a manuscript note giving provenance as follows: "Presented to Dorothy A. Drakin by Chas F. Hess...these sticks were used Benny Butler of Buchanan Mich. a drummer in the Civil War. They were never used on a drum since the war closed till Miss Drakin used them at the Coliseum. Butler was wounded in the wrist and returned home giving the sticks to his Aunt, My grandmother. They were bought in York State 58 yrs ago by Butler."
