Handsomely rebound in half dark blue calf over marbled paper-covered boards, gilt-tooled spine with raised bands and gilt-lettered red and green morocco labels, all edges marbled, with marbled and fresh endpapers. Small octavo; xiv, [1]-320; viii, [1]-322; viii, [1]-300pp. First volume with portrait frontispiece with tissue guard.

Sturdy boards with light shelf wear and rubbing to extremities; hinge cracking (largely superficial); interiors with occasional foxing and light wear such as indentations and pencil notations, generally very clean; thin border of damp staining along edges of frontispiece; a very good set.
