A Private High Point, North Carolina Collection

William Hepworth Dixon was an historian and writer best known for his books on travel and history. He played an important role in helping to organize the Great Exhibition of 1851.

Boards all with general shelf and age wear, spines darkened with light creasing, extremities rubbed or bumped with occasional small areas of cracking or insect damage at joints; a couple of volumes with tearing at head of spine; interiors with infrequent soiling and small tears or other handling wear, and occasional light hinge cracking, mild toning, and foxing (mostly concentrated on endpapers, preliminaries, page edges, and frontispieces), with pages overall clean. All volumes sturdy and very good minus or better.
