Lamb, with hand-coloring; depicts part of South Asia including India and the Maldives and Southeast Asia through to the Philippines and the Indonesian archipelago; with decorative figural title cartouche; the verso offers two pages in English titled The Description of India printed in double-column format; presented behind a mat in a mid-century giltwood frame.

Sheet size 16 3/8 x 20 11/16 in.; Frame dimensions 22 3/8 x 26 9/16 in.

Map with expected age toning, a minor hole, one area with light creases, and wear at margins including a tiny hole, a small loss, and a few small tears with one tear slightly impacting the yellow border; verso with browning, foxing, and wear at and near center fold including a few small tears and repairs; secured to the mat with strips of old yellow tape; chipping to frame. Overall fair to good condition.
