French, mid 18th century, the silver mounts with partially rubbed hallmarks, one of the boxes has two marks appearing to be the Parisian Mark of the Maison Commune circa 1752, and the small discharge mark of Paris, circa 1744-1750; the other with an obscured crown mark; hand-painted soft paste porcelain, mounted with silver bezel clasp retaining period marks, the first of a recumbent lamb, attributed to St. Cloud, painted in the Kakiemon style with various figural vignettes with floral and fauna, mounted silver mounted base clasp (2 1/2 in.); the second of a recumbent spaniel and her pup, the underside panel decorated with painted floral spring motifs (3 1/8 in.).
