Late 18th century, hand-painted oval forms with hinged metal bezel clasp and mirrored interior, the first's lid with topsy turvy face decoration within the phrase "A Bucksome Widow....A Bucksome Widower.."; the second depicting a portrait of "Gen. Washington"; the third of a riverscape scene with phrase "Who Opens This / Must have a Kiss", and the fourth of dove perched on mistletoe branch against a cobalt ground.

Some wear to the enamel surfaces including some staining and areas of crazing; topsy turvy blue paint on base likely later; Washington with some small areas of enamel loss and a few areas of painted touch up to the base.
