Attributed to the shop of Duncan Phyfe, circa 1810, mahogany veneers, mahogany and white pine secondary, the demilune form with a ovolo front corners featuring a hinged lid, both upper and lower lip with reeded edge and banded veneer, the skirt with veneers and banded veneer border, applied cock beading to bottom edge, ring and reeded urn turned standard, tripod down-swept legs with acanthus carving and reeding terminating in carved paw feet on casters, notable constructing including the left and right side legs which are hinged and move from the side toward the rear which simultaneously open the double butterfly support from the fly rail which further supports the open lid to create a game playing surface.

Veneer chips and loss to the back left corner and rear edge; top reset; some veneer patching at skirt; legs and ankles have not been broken; overall good estate condition.
