From the Estate of the late Carroll Wayne "Denny" Dennis, Holly Springs, NC A descriptive sheet is included and signed by Walter Staton, who states that he rebuilt the cash register in 2009-2010. He further claims that the register was made on March 18, 1914 in Dayton, Ohio for the Knight Drug Co. of Franklin, Virginia.
The till opens when pressing a button, many of which are heavily worn; all moving elements have a degree of wear; one screw securing the marble is stripped; the "Amount Purchased" crest is possibly an addition; other brass elements appear to have been cleaned and restored. Overall functionality of the mechanical elements is unknown.
