Austria or Germany, late 19th century, unsigned enamel dial with Roman chapters and subsidiary seconds dial, operated by a dual weight driven brass movement with pendulum and two winding keys, stamped with "W" and numbered "40093" to the works backplate, set within a carved walnut veneered case with hinged glass door, fret carved pediment, brass eagle surmount numbered "A5770" between turned finials, above an architectural case with turned column pilasters, pyramidal and round boss decoration, above an ornate carved apron centering a carved lion mask.
