France, late 19th-early 20th century, (8) oyster plates to include (6) to serve five oysters around a central well, each shell depression decorated with colorful sponge applied trim and gilt rim, unmarked (8 1/4 in.); and (2) plates designed by J.W. Boteler to serve four oysters around a central well, each shell depression with transferred oyster decoration and each plate with gilt decorative handle, unmarked (9 x 8 3/4 in.).

Minor gilt rubbing and minor surface stains to all; small crack wrapping rim and nick to underside of handle of one Boteler plate.
