Second quarter 20th century, carved and polychrome wood, brass movement with paper bellows, metal and glass, each a mechanical figure of a gentleman holding a cane and leaning against a lamppost, the head moves while whistling a tune, both signed with maker initials "K [bird] G" and "KEN.D"to the base, movements also marked "MADE IN GERMANY", with original winding keys.

18 1/2 x 6 1/2 x 3 1/2 in.

Both working at the time of examination; movements with some light areas of solder; lanterns not tested, one lantern missing top plate; some minor surface rubbing to polychrome.
