Born in Sydney, Australia, Jacob Cooley has lived most of his life in North Carolina. He received an MFA in Painting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He now lives and paints in Durham, North Carolina. His serene landscape paintings are in numerous public and private collections including the Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University.
